Winslow is JP Winslow!!!

JP hails from THE ROCK
that is, of course, the
island of Newfoundland on
Canada’s East Coast.  On
the Rock music is and
essential part of life.  A
rousing song is as much a
staple as the Cod Fish it’s
self.  JP’s earliest
memories include sitting in
the control room at
Columbia Studios in Toronto
while his Dad (John) and
uncle (Richard) laid down
tracks with the Soft Rock
duo Walsh &Winslow who
were then signed to
Columbia Records.  Music
is in the family.   After
moving to Vancouver in
1985 JP began working in
Theatre and Music.

JP has written, performed
and produced independent
theatre and even managed a
small Theatrical Venue.
Musically speaking JP is a
of a jack-of-all-trades.  He
has played Guitar and Bass
for quite a few Rock and
Alternative bands and is
also an accomplished
Vocalist.  He has also
pursued a career playing
Traditional Music in places
like Barkerville Historic
Town and the Theatre Royal
Canada’s longest running
Music Hall where

he was a Singer,
Guitar/Banjo/Mandolin
player as well as a
songwriter.  JP has also
toured Western Canada
performing Traditional Style
songs for Kids.  Through it
all he has continued do
define his own music.  His
new album, entitled simply
“WINSLOW” is a reflection
of his many musical
influences.  The album
captures folk and traditional
styles, which blend with
straight up rock and pop.
JP played many of the
instruments on the album
himself.  Drummer Doug
Collins plays on most
tracks.

Multi skilled Musical
Theatre Performer

Alison Macdonald provides
some

Backing Vocals with
multi-instrumentalist/singer/
songwriter Marq DeSouza
playing drums on three
songs.  At present JP is
preparing his migration to
central British Columbia
where he will entertain at
Barkerville Historic Town, a
popular attraction for
European tourists.  He will
also tour the region to
promote his new
album
"
WINSLOW".
